About Us

Mary Pat Moloney brought the vision of Croí Anú Creative Centre into being.  The centre, a sacred place to grow, develop, explore, express, heal and create is the manifestation of her dream.

She spent many years facilitating groups in unsuitable, somewhat compromised spaces and as her awareness grew about the impact of the space we inhabit on our whole system, her belief in the quality of work and possibility that opens up in a warm, supportive, nurturing and clear space grew with it. So she went ahead with the build,  wonderful people have been using this space since 2008.

In July 2014 Mary Pat completed an advanced training in the Michael Chekhov technique as performer and facilitator.  This course had a profound effect on her in rekindling her passion for acting so she has decided to become a working actor as well as running the centre. Since then she has played a number of roles on stage and screen.  Summer of 2018 included being part of Camden and greater Manchester fringe festival in Joe O Neill’s new Irish playbook, a real adventure. She welcomes interesting and varied acting roles in the future.

Mary Pat has been facilitating groups in the exploration of their creativity for over 20 years including tutoring Augusto Boal work on the dramatherapy MA in NUI Maynooth.  Community Arts in Waterford Institute of Technology.  In adult education she has facilitated numerous FETAC accredited personal development and creative programmes.  She has worked with recovery groups and using creativity in the area of mental health.  She always devises her workshops to meet the specific needs of the group.

She is a certified Sound Healer having trained with the college of sound healing UK.  She has also trained in Reiki and Rahanni Celestial Healing. Her advanced certified training in the Michael Chekhov technique was a collaboration between the Gaiety school of Acting and the Michael Chekhov studio Berlin.  She has a 1st class honours MA in Modern Drama from UCD, diploma in theatre studies from Maynooth and trained in disability Arts at the Crawford Art College, Cork.
